Jessie is a nine-year-old beauty that came into our lives and hearts very dramatically. We first learned of Jessie when her daddy became ill and could no longer care for her. The family gave her to someone wanting to help her, but she ran away within hours. MaPaw Rescue volunteers and members searched for her day and night. With the help of the local community (thank you folks!), we finally found her and convinced Jessie a soft bed and sure dinner were what she deserved. Jessie came into rescue and is doing great with her canine foster siblings. She was very frightened at first; not knowing what was happening and why she was here, but we quickly gained her trust and a loving girl emerged. Sometimes she seems to have a worried look about her and we comfort her and tell her she is safe and loved. Jessie is trustworthy in the house and a joy to be around ~ always nearby for a cuddle and pat or, even better, a special treat. We hope her daddy knows she is safe and sound and will be getting a second leash on life ~ perhaps with you? All of our dogs are fostered in private homes throughout the tri-state area and are shown to approved applicants (within a 100 mile radius of Philadelphia, PA) by appointment only.
